FLEXIBILITY DERIVED FROM MODULAR CONSTRUCTION

As you would expect from Anord Mardix, quality manufacture to your specification and engineering excellence is built into every product and our designers offer supplier-neutral advice on related elements of your project.

Our Form 4 Panelboard has been conceived to offer many of the features you would expect from a large LV switchboard. Add to that flexibility derived from its modular construction and Anord Mardix distribution panelboards can incorporate a variety of configurations to meet your needs.

Internally, each Panelboard comprises four main elements:

  • A main incoming section.
  • A Form 4 separated 10 way distribution section.
  • Multi-function metering.
  • A BMS/EMS area.

All elements are modular in design in order to suit user configuration requirements such as metering on each outgoing way, or top/bottom cable entry requirements.

KEY FEATURES

INCOMING SECTION

  • The panelboard enclosure is a compact, fully welded structure that is cleverly folded and formed to create a lightweight yet strong structure.
  • Moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB) and MCCB switch disconnectors up to 800A can be accommodated.
  • All incoming arrangements are factory fitted, and coupled directly to the required distribution section.
  • Expertly developed incoming terminal arrangements for all incoming switch ratings.
  • 400A through to 800A MCCBs are fitted with copper spreaders ensuring multiple large cables can be glanded and connected to the incoming terminals effectively.
  • Laser profiled shrouding, with thermal imaging grids, are carefully fitted over the incoming terminal arrangements to protect against inadvertent contact with live parts.
  • Multi-function metering and associated current transformers can be fitted to all incoming switches.

DISTRIBUTION SECTION

  • ASTA tested 10 way TP&N and 4 Pole versions with ratings up to 800A (50kA for 1 second unconditional rating).
  • Schneider, Terasaki and ABB MCCBs can be incorporated as standard (other manufacturers on request).
  • Available in three Forms of Separation: Form 4 Type 2, Form 4 Type 6 and Form 4 Type 7.
  • Steel functional unit boxes housing the circuit breakers are fitted to all available outgoing ways (Form 4 Type 2) and cable boxes are then applied as required (Form 4 Type 6 and Form 4 Type 7)

BENEFITS

MULTI-FUNCTION METERING

Our Form 4 Panelboard is designed to accommodate the requirement for metering outgoing circuits as per Part L2 building regulations. Multi-function and kWhr meters complete with associated current transformers can be fitted to every outgoing way. Meters are fitted on the outer door adjacent to the respective circuit breaker for ease of identification.

BMS/EMS COMPARTMENT

As mechanical and electrical systems become more complex, so the amount of information required from electrical switchboards increases proportionately.

DEDICATED EXTERNAL WIRING ROUTES

Within each Form 4 Panelboard we provide a dedicated area with external wiring routes to meet the common requirement for numerous circuit breaker and meter signals for the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Management Systems (EMS).

CABLE WAYS

Bolted assemblies can be fitted on the side if required. Glanding plates can be fitted on the top and bottom.

FULLY WELDED CONSTRUCTION

The cubicle is formed using individually folded panels, fitted and welded together for superior rigidity and strength.

INCOMING CONNECTIONS FOR LARGE AND MULTIPLE CABLES

High strength busbar support assemblies are used to gland and terminate multiple and large cables. Incoming switches can be configured for top or bottom entry.

FULLY SHROUDED FUNCTIONAL UNITS

Careful attention to detail and custom-made shrouds with laser profile thermal imaging slots provide protection against inadvertent contact with live parts. This facilitates efficient thermal imaging of circuit breakers and power connections.
