IBAR HX is a range of high-power busbar trunking systems based on a common technology that has been shown to outperform its competition. HX uses a sandwich arrangement of individually insulated Copper (HXC) or Aluminium (HXA) busbars that use a specialist epoxy resin coating and are contained within a two-piece, IP55 rated, aluminium trunking.

Whether for Feeder or Distribution busbar applications, Anord Mardix IBAR technology can move and distribute large amounts of power efficiently and effectively, safely and reliably. Feeder configurations are available for 3-phase, 3-phase and neutral protected earth (for loads susceptible to harmonic distortion/leakage currents) and optional double rated neutral.

  • All IBAR products are manufactured in the UK by Anord Mardix to the latest British Standards (BS EN 61439-6).
  • Designed for flexibility and ease of tap-off installation and configuration with each tap-off location featuring high-integrity, weld-bonded connection tabs.
  • Design means IBAR has solutions for vertical and horizontal power distribution, ideal for multi-storey facilities and mega data centres
  • IBAR’s HX range provides a high-power feeder busbar solution with busbar ratings ranging from 800A up to 6300A, ideal for feeding power between transformers and low voltage switchboards and then further sub distribution.

  • Busbar trunking systems offer significant benefits over traditional fixed position cable installations due to the flexibility of the available tap-off locations.
  • The standard straight 3m lengths can be fitted with up to five specially-engineered tap-off points at standard or custom locations.
  • High-quality, high-conductivity connection from tap-offs means that, on copper conductor systems, only a single tap-off location is required for tap-offs of up to 630A.
